Since we only offer one birthday/group package per day they do fill up quickly and we are unable to accept any further bookings this year.

Celebrating at the pumpkin patch is fun, unique, and safe! 

Our group and party package is designed for small groups (less than 30 people total) who want to celebrate at the pumpkin patch. It’s perfect for birthdays, family pumpkin patch trips, scout troops, sports teams, or any other reason you have to celebrate. 

The party package is offered on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in October from 10:30 am to 2 pm (subject to availability)

At this time we are not hosting any private corporate events or groups larger than 30 people for packages.

Group Party Package- $185

Package Includes:

-3.5 hours access to our private picnic area (shelter, seating, access to power and a mini fridge + tables for food)

-10 kid activity wristbands 

         Wristband includes:

         Hayride to the pumpkin patch (departs at 11am)

         1 kids size pumpkin

         Access to hay slide & outdoor play area

         Make & take a dirt baby

-2 free adult hayrides for the guardians of the birthday child 

Additional hayride tickets (required for anyone without a wristband to take the hayride) – $3

Recommended Schedule

Your hayride will depart at 11am. To maximize your time and fun we recommend the following schedule:

10:30-10:50 am – Create a Dirtbaby!

11am – 12 pm – Hayride (hayride time varies based on how long is spent in the field to pick pumpkins but most groups take between 30-60 minutes for the entire hayride – which includes time to pick pumpkins in the field)

12pm – 2pm – Food & cake then hayslide/play area, visit the farm animals, wander through the corn trail and make lots of memories

Our goal is to provide you with a great place to hold your child’s birthday party. This document will give you most of the information you will need. If you have additional questions, please email, call, or text Lara Bushue @ 503-312-3280. 


Party Terms & Conditions


  1. The time listed above on the confirmation page indicates the timing of the event. The party host may arrive 30 minutes early to decorate/set up the party space and have an additional 15 minutes after the scheduled time for clean up. You will be billed at the rate of $25 per hour for any time exceeded past scheduled rental time.

  1. Proper supervision of children while at Bushue’s Family Farm is the responsibility of the renting party – no children are to be left unattended at any time or at any location while visiting our farm. Bushue’s Family Farm does not provide staff for supervising your guests – this is your responsibility to ensure an adult is supervising all guests at all times. Our farm is a real working farm which poses unique risks to children, so this is very important and we appreciate our cooperation in the matter.

  1. The renting party is responsible for the set-up and clean up of all materials and supplies brought in for the party – please leave the space as you found it.

  1. Bushue’s Family Farm will supply garbage cans, garbage bags,  hand washing area, tables, and seating at picnic shelter/party area. Bushue’s Family Farm will set up and clean up dirt baby supplies as well.

  1. Every adult must have a ticket to take the hayride. Each party package includes 2 free adult hayrides for the host parents – additional adults are $3 each.

  1. Every child over the age of 2 who is going to participate in birthday activities (make a dirt-baby, play area, hayride, and take home a small pumpkin) must have a wristband. Each party package includes 10 wristbands – additional wristbands are $12 each.

  1. Due to the scheduling system we use, we are unable to accommodate changes to hayride times. If your guests are late and they miss the hayride to the pumpkin patch, they will have to wait at the party area until the hayride returns. It is not possible to get them out to the group or provide a makeup hayride for them. Please make sure your guests are aware of this prior to the party. 

  1. Smoking and alcohol consumption are strictly prohibited at Bushue’s Family Farm. If the consumption of alcohol is observed, the renting party will be asked to leave immediately and forfeit a refund for their party.

  1. Pets are not allowed at Bushue’s Family Farm for safety, health, and insurance reasons. Service dogs are always welcome. (A service animal is a dog that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for a person with a disability. Dogs whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the ADA)

  1. Any cost resulting from damage to the property occurring as a result of the renting party’s use of the facility will be paid by the renting party.

  1. Bushue’s Family Farm is not responsible for lost or stolen personal belongings or gifts.  It is recommended that gifts be taken to the car before beginning activities or that you designate a person to stay at the party area during the rental period.

  1. A $40 non-refundable deposit is due at time of booking to secure party date – this will be taken off the total cost of the party at time of payment.

  1. Payment for the rest of the party is due at the start of the party – we accept cash and credit cards, but cash is greatly appreciated to help cut down on fees for our small business

  1. Cancellations will result in loss of your $40 deposit – due to COVID-19, there are exceptions to this if sickness or exposure to COVID-19 has caused the cancellation of the party.


ARRIVAL & SET UP: We allow party hosts to set up 30 minutes before the party start time. When you arrive, let the greeter know you are checking in for a party/picnic shelter rental. They will direct you to a reserved parking spot nearest to the entrance so you can unload your car – you are welcome to leave your car there for the entirety of the party. PLEASE NOTE ONLY ONE RESERVED SPOT AVAILABLE PER PARTY – additional cars must park in the main parking lot wherever space is available.

 Lara or Helen will greet you once you arrive to get you checked in and handle any additional day of details.. You may begin setting up for your party once you arrive – the roped off area by the picnic shelter is clearly marked with black and orange flags and with a sign “reserved for private events”. 

At the start of your party time, Lara or Helen will do a head-count for kids wristbands and adult hayrides and collect payment. 

You and your guests are free to stay as long as you like, but you must leave the picnic shelter area at the end of your scheduled time. 


WEATHER:  Our farm runs rain or shine. Most of your party is undercover but you will be out in the elements at times. Except in the case of extreme weather (hail, thunderstorms or extreme downfall) we will be operating. If you have added a wagon ride to your party, please understand that if the field is muddy and unsafe, the wagon will not run and we will adjust or refund your tickets accordingly. Please encourage your guests to dress appropriately for an outdoor birthday party on the farm. 


GIFTS:  Just as a suggestion, we have found that opening gifts at the farm takes up a lot of your time and the other children are not very patient when there are many fun activities to do so it may be best to put gifts in your car and enjoy your time here on the farm and then enjoy opening presents at home.


AMENITIES: The picnic shelter/party area has power, a small mini-fridge, a large counter on one end, tables and seating available for you (a mix of picnic tables as well as plastic chairs and tables). We also provide recycling cans, garbage cans and a hand washing area. Porta-potties are located a very short distance from the party area. 


DECORATIONS & SUPPLIES: We do not supply any decorations or birthday supplies. Please plan accordingly. You are responsible for removing all decorations and tape you used to put them up with – no staples, please. 


BIRTHDAY CAKES:   We do not supply birthday cakes. You may bring your own birthday cake, cupcakes or treats. Please remember to bring candles, matches, a knife &/or cake server


FOOD: You are welcome to bring outside food, drinks and treats in for your party but we do not allow any alcoholic beverages on our property due to insurance and alcohol laws. With advanced notice and additional charges, we can provide donuts, coffee, hot cider or hot dogs for parties. Our food area sells: hot dogs, chips, drinks, fresh apple cider, hot spiced cider, caramel and apple slices, apple cider slushies and coffee.


ACTIVITIES: Each child with a wristband (2 and up) will get to make a dirt baby, play in our play area and take a hayride (and pick a small, kid sized pumpkin). At the start of your party, Lara or Helen will give you a demonstration on dirt babies so your party guests know how to make one. A dirt baby station will be set up at the picnic shelter for your group to make dirt babies at. We also have farm animals, photo ops, and a small corn trail for everyone to enjoy while visiting. Pig train rides are not included in the party package but are available for an additional $3 per rider. You can either purchase tickets at our ticket booth or pay Lara or Helen at the start of the party to get tickets for the pig train.


PUMPKINS: Each child with a wristband will receive a small, kid size pumpkin to take home with them. Additional pumpkins must be taken to the  cash register/checkout area and paid for before leaving the farm.


FARM RULES: To ensure the safety of all guests, employees, our family and our animals we ask that everyone follow our farm rules.


  1. Be respectful of our crops and watch where you are walking to avoid damaging our crops

  2. Due to COVID-19, wearing a mask when at checkouts and in close proximity to our staff or other guests outside your group is required – thank you in advance for your cooperation

  3. Kindness and caring for your fellow visitors (and our staff/family) is required

  4. Please do not feel our farm animals – we keep track of what they eat and how much to ensure their health and safety

  5. Please drive slowly in parking lots and on our property for everyone’s safety

  6. Stay OUTSIDE of the animal pens – do not enter pens and do not harass our animals

  7. Keep rocks, sticks, corn, pumpkins, etc. on the ground or where you found them – they are not for throwing or playing with.

  8. Keep off fences and gates – do not open any gates on farm property or go beyond flagged off areas

  9. Help keep our farm clean, pick up your litter and garbage

  10. Have fun! Enjoy the fresh farm air, splash in puddles, play in the dirt and mud and make lots of memories.
