NOW SEEKING SEASONAL EMPLOYMENT FOR 2019 PUMPKIN PATCH SEASON
We are looking to add some team members to our small family farm for the 2019 pumpkin patch season!
All positions are WEEKEND ONLY and require interaction with customers. These are great jobs for mature and personable high school and college students, retired folks, teachers, stay at home parents and anyone looking for a way to interact with people and make some spare money.
Who are we looking for?
Friendly, reliable, timely, and hard-working employees to work at our fast-paced pumpkin patch. We require our employees to work every weekend we are operating.
At Bushue’s Family Farm we are in the business of creating family traditions and memories during our pumpkin patch season. Our guests come here expecting to have a fun time with family and friends and how we interact with them plays a huge role in that experience. It’s our job to help customers get started right away, find what they need, and feel welcomed during their visit.
We feel it is a privilege to be part of our customers family memories and we expect all our employees to feel the same.
All employees must:
- Be 15 years or older by September 21st
- Be willing to commit to each weekend of our season (Saturday and Sundays from September 28th to October 27th)
- Have reliable transportation to and from work
- Be willing, able, and eager to interact with guests
- Have a can-do attitude and a strong work ethic
- Be flexible in job duties (occasionally we may need employees to help in other departments)

Wages
Ages 15, 16, and 17: $11.25 per hour
Ages 18+ : $11.25 and up (depending on experience and skills)
Job Opportunities
Cashiers require a candidate with excellent customer service skills, an interest in sales, a fun and outgoing personality, problem solving skills, and the ability to manage a cash register and money handling…all with a smile. [Cashier/money handling experience preferred]
Our Food Area Assistant requires a wide range of food preparation, service and cleaning skills. The ability to multi-task in fast-paced confined spaces with attention to detail is an absolute requirement. Shifts start prior to business hours and often extend after closing. Food Area Attendant will assist cook and donut makers in restocking, food prep, cleaning, and serving. We look for food service employees who are outgoing, detail oriented and can work efficiently while adhering to health stndards. [Must possess or obtain valid food handlers license, be able to lift 20 pounds] [Food handling/prep experience preferred]
Our Food Area cook requires a wide range of food preparation, service and cleaning skills. The ability to multi-task in fast-paced confined spaces with attention to detail is an absolute requirement. Shifts start prior to business hours and often extend after closing. We look for food service employees who are outgoing, detail oriented and can work efficiently while adhering to health standards. Cook/Server will efficiently and safely prep, cook, and serve hot dogs, hot cider, and coffee. [Must possess or obtain valid food handlers license, be able to lift 20 pounds] [Food handling/prep experience preferred]
Our Food Area Cashier requires a wide range of food preparation, service and cleaning skills. The ability to multi-task in fast-paced confined spaces with attention to detail is an absolute requirement. Must be team players with a track record of excellent customer service. We look for food service employees who are outgoing and can work efficiently while adhering to health standards. Food cashier will be required to count money and run a register but will also assist in re-stocking and serving food to customers. [Must possess or obtain valid food handlers license, be able to lift 20 pounds] [Food handling/prep and/or cashier experience preferred]
Playground Attendants are responsible for managing play areas including daily inspection, setup and cleanup of equipment, greeting guests, monitoring admissions to area, recognizing and reporting potential safety hazards and answering guest questions…all with a smile. Our attendants need to be good at working with small groups of people, providing them with instructions, and ensuring a safe and friendly environment. People skills are very necessary.
Dirt Baby Attendants are responsible for managing dirt baby area including daily inspection, setup, cleanup, and restock of materials, greeting guests, providing instructions for making and caring for their dirty baby and answering guest questions…all with a smile. Our attendants need to be good at working with small groups of people, providing them with instructions, and ensuring a safe and friendly environment. People skills are very necessary.p>
A safe, friendly person who is knowledgeable around a four-wheeler would be our ideal fit. Safety is our number one priority here, so the ability to ensure the safety of our passengers is non-negotiable. Drivers must be 18 years or older with a valid driver’s license. Driver will be monitoring customers riding the train, providing safety insturctions and helping customers…with a smile!
A safe, friendly person who is knowledgeable around a tractor would be our ideal fit. Safety is our number one priority here, so the ability to ensure the safety of our passengers is non-negotiable. Drivers must be 18 years or older with a valid driver’s license. Tractor driving course completion preferred, and/or 2+ years experience driving tractors. Driver will be monitoring customers riding the hayride, providing safety insturctions and helping customers…with a smile!
Often the first employees to interact with our customers, these team players must possess outgoing personalities, professional attitudes, track records of providing stellar customer service and the ability to multi-task. They should be organized, excellent communicators and able to assist guests with questions and explain our punch card system…all with a smile. During slower times, our greeter/floater will be asked to float around to fill in and complete tasks as needed.
Parking/Restock Specialist maintains the cleanliness and stock of the farm and ensures efficient use our of parking space. Main responsibilities include but not limited to: parking guidance during high occupancy times, picking up trash, returning wheelbarrows to their spot, assisting guests in transporting purchases to car (pumpkins, haybales, corn stalks), restocking gourds and pumpkins…all with a smile. [Must be able to lift 40lbs]
